I recently bought a new Yaesu FT-23r MKII, and after installing a DTMF board and putting the RT together, it made a high pitched whistle. The LCD screen is blurry, the dial on top doesn't work and none of the buttons work. It will still recieve and xmit, but there is no easy way to set the frequency. I have e-mailed Yaesu twice without help. Anyone with any help would be forever in my debt and gratitude.

I don't know electronics but have just seen on a repair site how to do a CPU reset.
Sounds to me to be just what you need.
