Hi all,

And thanks for your help in advance.

Recently bought secondhand a dual band Mirage BD-35 amplifier (allegedly fully working and brand new).

It TX on both bands fine, receives on 2m fine - but on 70cms the received signal is a 'fluttery' S5 but is S9 when the amp is not inline!

I have replaced all the coax cables and still the same result.

Any ideas ?

What should I look for inside the amplifier ?

A local amateur told me to have a fiddle with the internal pots as it will need tuning for the UK band allocation which will cause this problem - 430 to 440 is UK 70cms.

This amp was imported from the US hmm. Not convinced !

Please help...

Thanks, Simon
