Hello everyone... I need help here. Can anyone please tell me why a FL-2100b would arc between the plates on the "Load" cap.? When I go to tune the amp on bands above 40M, I see arcs now. Thank you very much.

Here is a site where most of the problems which cause this to occur are explained: http://www.w8ji.com. Look under amplifiers.

One important factor is this; once it happens, it most likely will continue to happen. Without curing the cause (the article will help you), you might need to disassemble the unit and clean up the cap.
