what is the adhesive/glue that was used on the plate attachment for the tube,,,, i have some tubes that are good, but the cap came off, and the wire stub is still good.........and i have the end pieces,,,glue failed

I can tell you how I did it..
Make sure the wire extends through the hole of the cap enough to solder.
You may have to clean out the hole in the cap.
Mount the cap on the tube with the wire through the hole.
Solder the wire.
Put 'Krazy Glue' around the edges of the cap and glass of the tube.
Let set.
Works with 6146's..never tryed an 811..
