Hello folks I am not sure this is the proper place to ask this. But here we go. I was told the icom and yaesu radios have a spike some times in there power output (RF watts) when you run them below full out put.  Such as feeding a transverter. Etc.

I also heard about some one making a circuit that you can manually adjust the fold back on the ALC circuit to control the power output and thus eliminating the RF spike that may occur.  Does any one out there have any details to this circuit?    Thanks every one Jeff n3jbh
