We are thinking of converting our vapor phased cooled ETO PA-70V...To a 8877..Any place to get some information on this...

Seems it would only require a slight bias adjustment at most. I must be missing something as the 8877 runs around $900, give or take if you can find one, while the 3cx is about $600.

It would also require installing the correct socket, removing all the plumbing, the water cooler and recirculator and the little muffin fan that cools the radiator and replacing all that with a blower, chimney and ductwork for the 8877...

I venture to say, it is an impossible task. As good as it was new, at todays prices, and even if you own a machine shop, it is most likely cheaper to purchase a new Alpha 99.
