I am interested in monitoring packet, (no interest in transmitting) including the Space Station, now that they are broadcasting packet...I have seen some reviews/ads for the BayCom Multi-Mode modems...Cute little gadgets and right in my price range (cheap!)...Would one of these allow me to monitor local packet as well as the Space Station? Thanks...

hi,

if you have a pc and sound card you can do it
without any extra hardware or tnc.
Just need a cable to the soundcard.

http://www.qsl.net/soundcardpacket/

This link give details on running
packet via the soundcard on the PC
to replace the TNC.

Check it out.
