I have been looking at this Syntor X sitting here in my radio room.. I used it as a mobile rig and was wondering if anyone out there knew how to use it as a packet radio?  I read some of the sites and the tech terms were waaaaaaaaaay over my head.  Is there a way to connect it to the TNC?? Is is possible to wire it thru the microphone or the control head??? Any insights would be appreciated.

Most TNC's need: PTT, Squelch on/off signal, audio routed out of the TNC to the michrophone radio input, audio from the last stage before the audio goes to the speaker or a audio resistor pad if taken off the speaker output, level there may overdrive the TNC audio input.  Would be handy to have a service monitor to check the modulation of the Syntor with the TNC sending, to low and the connect may not work, over drive and distortion same effect, no connect.
