Hi all. I am trying to find a terminal to communicate with my TNC. I am looking for something smaller than a desktop or laptop computer. Maybe something in a "palmtop"?  The requirements are:
  1.) A qwerty keyboard
  2.) rs232 serial port
  3.) accepts external battery power
4.) has a terminal emulator, or runs DOS
5.) if DOS, has some method of getting my favorite TNC control program in to it, like kagold or pacterm.
6.) No hard drive, with the operating system in ROM, so you get "instant on".

This is for a battery powered packet station.

Anybody using the HP 200LX? How about a palmtop that uses Windows CE? Does CE have a terminal program like Hyperterminal?

Thanks for your ideas and comments..

I am running APRS CE on a jornada 680 with a handi packet from paccomm and a FT-411 from Yaesu with no problem. I have however run pocket APRS but that does not allow a keyboard. I have found Jornadas on ebay for less than $200. If you have any questions let me know and I will see if I can answer them.

Thanks Guys. Looks like a HP 95/100/200lx is the guy if I want to run a Baycom (DOS), but these units are getting a bit older.

The HP 320/360/620 are newer, the 360lx has backlight, and may be available on ebay for less than $100. They do run CE, so no Baycom. Also available CE systems are Sharp Mobilon 4100, 4500, and 4600, along with a few other palmtops with keyboards.
