I am using Xastir V2.0.4 under Opensuse 13.1.

I am not able to display anything but the most simple of line maps.

OSM maps do not display after downloading.

Can anyone tell m how to download local OSM maps and get them to display?

Thanks.

I just noticed the date on this one but if you haven't found an answer yet I would suggest the most likely source of help would be in the Linux communities under the Opensuse distro. GL.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I had already done that.

I know this is an old thread, but ...

I have finally been able to use OSM maps. I found the answer on another forum just recently, and on a much older thread.

I changed the permissions on the ~/.xastir folder to make it world readable. The maps then loaded.
