Hi,
I wonder if anyone could help me get the latest version of HRD Logbook to work with qrz.com?  Presently when I put a call in the log program and hit the QRZ button, it returns a not found message, with calls that I'm sure are in the qrz database.

My subscription to qrz is current, and works when I use it directly at the qrz website.

I am almost positive this is just a configuration issue with HRD.  The version and build are the very latest.

Where in HRD do you implement this feature, such as inputing my user name and password for qrz?  I've been all over the HRD software, and can't seem to locate the configuration screen. (I did authorize internet access on one HRD dialogue box, but there must be more to it.)

You know the feeling..you know the screen is in there somewhere, but can't find it.  Driving me nuts!

Thanks guys, and Merry Christmas.

I am not sure what the problem might be with your particular installation, but be advised that the QRZ database is NOT a complete list of all US call signs. There are many call signs the owner of QRZ has deleted, for one reason or another.

HRD's DM-780's version 1.1 beta build 1686 is where
you set up the Internet qrz.com callsign lookup.

To lookup callsigns using DM-780, bring up the
DM-780's option window. Select the "Callsign lookup"
tab and select the "Subscription Interface" check box.
To the right, enter "your" valid qrz.com subscription
username and password.

By the way, the scrolling text box in the "Callsign
lookup" tab clearly states you can only lookup
callsigns over the Internet from qrz.com for a
period of "7" days.

If you are receiving error messages when looking up
callsigns in DM-780, you're either going to have to
contact qrz.com for further details OR your 7 day
period has expired.

You may want to look on the HRD user forums ( http://forums.ham-radio.ch/ ) on the HRD website. I think that was a bug in when QRZ.com changed their format. The latest beta version should fix it.

Thanks for the responses.

Mike, you solved it for me.  It never occured to me to look in the DM-780 program. I had just assumed it would be in the main program somewhere.

And Lon, I want you to know I regularly learn from your various posts. Keep it up.
