He was my hamtor--mentor for ham radio. He always monitored a local repeater in Milford connecticut 146.925. You could find him monitoring from 9am to 10pm just about everyday. He gave me an empty QSL card book to fill out and he told me he wanted to see it filled. He never got that opportunity. Bob is sworely missed by all.
I agree with Daryl. Bob W1UWU was a gentleman ham and a great guy to have around during my early ham days. He was always available on the repeater in case of emergencies or just to chat. I was honored to receive my extra call with the WU prefix. It's my little memorial to a great friend and mentor. 73 Bob, you are missed by all!
