John was Service Manager at Timewave Technology Inc. John was a amateur radio operator like amateur radio operators are supposed to be.
We have a special tribute to John at: http://www.timewave.com/John Robroy Douglas.htm
I am sure many hams in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area will say this, but John sold me my first rig. I kept asking him questions and to see various HT's. He took the time to answer my questions and give me advice. When I went in later on to purchase accessories, John remembered me and asked how I liked the rig, and how I was enjoying the hobby. On occasion, when I'd call the shop, John would answer and would always have a friendly greeting and a cheerful attitude. John, you'll be sorely missed! 73's until we meet again my friend

John didn't sell me my first rig. However, he made my many visits to Radio City very enjoyable when I lived in Mpls. We had many conversations about antennas and his exploits in Russia and other parts of the world. John never got flustered or impatient with people and ALWAYS went the extra mile with you. And, he had a great memory...when I came into the store, he along with Dan, would always remember what gear I was running at the time and would ask about it. I truly enjoyed my time with John and know the ham community in the Twin Cities have lost a great one!
