Frank and I were next door neighbor's in 1974 to 1977. He used to raise cain with me about my CB interfering with his TV & stereo. I moved across town, and in Jan 1979 got my Novice ticket. I ran into Frank at a Radio Shack store and found out he had just got his Novice ticket. We had a good laugh about that. From then on Frank rode to the FCC test sessions with me as we tried to get our General Class. We finally did. Then the U.S. Army sent me to Germany. I lost touch with Frank after that. A few days ago I got a note, it was from his daughter. Frank passed away in Jan 1999 with Lou Gehrigs disease. Frank & I both retired from the US Army as Sergeants. He served his Country over 20 years, was a combat veteran, and raised two great daughters. Please honor his memory with a moment of silence. He lived in Fayetteville NC.
