Although I have only spoken to Jerry a few times on a local repeater, I will always remember him as a wise and articulate gentleman who knew alot about the world (heck, he spent alot of years here) and the hobby .
Jerry lived across the street from me while I was growing up in NJ. He gave me my novice exam in 1959. His son and I were in the same grade. I will always remember the sound his homebrew 20M KW made when he engaged the PTT bar on the D-104...CLACK!!!!
Yes he certainly was a gentleman in the true sense of the word.
