Once in a very long time someone comes along and becomes more than just a ham radio friend--but a real friend. I'll miss all the e-mails you sent and all the little things you've taught me about life and our friendly DX competition, and though I've often said that death is a necessary end to all the good you've experienced prior to it, I'll miss you forever. Thank you, Bill, for everything. 73 de Steve, W4GN
Ham Radio has lost one of its true gentlemen.
I was shocked to learn that Bill was "only
88," his attitude and activity level had me
thinking he was in his early 70's. I'll miss
hearing his letter perfect CW in the PA QSO
party, and seeing him at local radio club
meetings
