Clarence died at the age of 94. Although not active for the past few years, he was an avid ham and enjoyed working the bands whenever time allowed. He encouraged me to get on the 6 meter band by loaning me a Swan 250C in 1994. This has proven to be one of my favorite bands. Clarence started operating many years ago and always had some good stories to tell of those early days. I hadn’t spent any time with him recently but I remember him fondly for his influence on my hobby. May you rest in peace old friend.
