My friend and father-in-law. Earl was a U.S. Army brass pounder in WW-II and became interested in amateur radio in the mid-60's when I took up the hobby. He loved CW and spent most of his time there. We had many long and wonderful QSOs when we were overseas as WB4KPZ/OA4, HC2JR, TJ1BG, XE1UFA and XF4JJ. I still miss his CW caller in the pile ups, and ham radio has not been the same since he became a silent key. 73's Earl, you are missed!
