Bob Juncosa passed away last year. He worked as an engineer for NBC in New York for many years and retired sometime in the mid 1980's He was last living in Phoenix AZ. I don't have the exact date of his passing. Bob was my Elmer. He was my best friend's Dad. One night when I slept over, he fired up the rig and let us boys talk on the air. Wow! I had the bug! He gave me my Novice exam in his kitchen, I'll never forget that Saturday. He lent me his Hallicrafters SX 96 for my first Novice Station. I still have his QSL card congratulating me on achieving my General Class the following summer (1971). The hobby, his friends and family will sorely miss him.
