Alan introduced me to ham radio while were students at the same High School back in 1955. He was my "Elmer" in my successful quest to obtain my Novice and General licenses. After school we had gone our seperate ways, but always stayed in touch despite living in different states and often in different countries. I was saddened to learn of Alan's passing of complications to Prostate Cancel. Alan will be missed by his family, friends as well as the Ham Radio Community.
