Warren was an avid railroad fan along with his interest in amateur radio. His nickname among his close friends was "Nice Guy Warren," and for good reason. If you ever needed help with anything, Warren was always ready to step in and help you in any way he could. Personally, Warren was a close family friend and knew me from the day I was born. He went to high school with my father and even introduced my parents to each other. Warren helped me build a shortwave receiver kit when I was 10 years old and was thrilled when I got my novice license at age 15. While I was away in college he got his ham ticket and couldn't wait for me to come home to tell me about it. When I did get home he introduced me to the people he had met through a local repeater. They are still his (and my) closest friends. We are truly going to miss him.
