Friend : Bill Sheedy (K1ZFE)

I got to know Bill on 6 meters many years ago and soon learned he was a hardcore ham who never hesitated to share his knowledge. I later met Bill at a Pack Rats hamfest when the SMIRK Klub had a gathering there. His dry sense of humor and sly smile kept all of us laughing. He'll be missed not only on 6 meters but also on 17 meters which was another one of the bands he enjoyed very much.
God bless Bill and thanks for all that you did for our great hobby.

When I returned to ham radio after 40 years Bill helped me greatly with his advice and knowledge. His friendly voice on 18.165 and our back of the beam QSOs will be greatly missed.

I first came across Bill on 24.940 I and the rest of the guys on that day were newly licenced under our m3 calls.A band policeman from here in the uk came on and started giving us what for over operating procedure.we felt
intimidated by this, then low and behold the
call k1zfe thundered in on the frequency and when bill had finished with this guy he never bothered us again.Bill was a regular visitor on that frequency and gave us sound advice and encouragement to better ourselves in this hobby. godbless you Bill
