Friend : Mark Leslie (K8ML)

It is with great sadness that I report the death of a good friend, wonderful co-worker and devoted operator. Last Thursday , December 01 at 6:42 PM Mark Leslie, K8ML, lost his long battle with cancer. Mark was only 48 years of age and leaves behind a wonderful wife, Teresa, and three beautiful children.
I know that Mark most loved his family but I don't know if his second love was chasing QSO's with milliwatts or acquiring a new piece of Ten Tec gear. I do know that he relished the hobby and not only contributed to it by being a great operator and a perfect example of what an amateur operator should aspire to be, but also by working with our company, Alpha Delta Communications, for more than twenty years and building every single wire antenna ever sold by our company. If you own one of our antennas it was hand assembled by Mark at his shop in Ohio.
We and the hobby will miss him greatly !

I've known Mark about 6 years, and we became very good friends during that time. He was a true family man, and as genuine and transparent of a soul as I have ever known. We sent a lot of TT gear back and forth during that time, and his honesty was profound. He loved his wife and children with great passion, and I consider him a Man's Man. There is no fading, no interference, and no noise at his new QTH, and he has gear we can all be jealous of. I truly look forward to seeing him one day.
