He was a great Dad and friend who had been a Ham operator for many years. I don't ever remember a car of his that didn't have a transceiver in it! I remember listening to him on my crystal set in my room at night and he was in his "shack" down cellar. He's greatly missed.
I only met "cousin" Ray Delano several years ago and then
only through a Delano Kindred memorial project that he and
I worked on, but he reputation among the local hams was
first rate. I am the one on the left in the photo and Ray is
standing next to me. So long Ray and I wish I had met you
earlier. You were a wonderful fellow.
