Friend : Frank Foster (NN3T)

Frank was the kind of guy that the first time you talked to him,you took a liking to him right away.I'll never forget the great late night QSO's with him in the "lounge" on 3.805,and I'm sure the rest of the lounge regulars will miss him also. Loved his sense of humor with his "antenna kits" he would send out to his friends, and his great sense of humor. Never a bad word to say about anybody, and he was right there if you needed a helping hand or a word of encouragement. He will truly be missed,as he was the kind of guy you just don't meet that much anymore. 73's Frank, there will always be a open seat waiting for you in the lounge.

Frank was a great guy. I'll never forget smoking cigars on the air with with Frank and talking about AC/DC. He truly made friends with everybody that he met. A class act all the way. I'm sure he's up at a superstation having fun with SSTV images!

Frank was my friend,it was he whoe dubbed me Tom-Tom,so as not to confuse me with another fellow lounge-lizard on 3.805 also from Md.
..that poor fellow became known as "Cucmber-Tom"...I think you get a sense of his humor with his "world famous" takey-outy button ..otherwise known as an auto-notch,to the aforementioned "antenna kits" (2 insulators....you just add wire and coax !!!!)
I love ya Brotha-Man....73 de k3Rx

ps Eileen,(Irene,in Chinese...)misses you too!!!!

Frank was one hell of a man and a good friend. I remember the first time I met him at his home in PA, Frank was short and I am 6'2" after that he said he would always look up to me unless he was on a ladder.
If anyone had anything bad to say about Frank they would be making it up, you couldn't meet a nicer person on or off the air.
Frank you will always be remembered.

Frank Foster was one of those great people that everyone would like. He was always fun to talk with and kept things 'rolling'. I was honored to have him on our test team. He helped in the evaluation of several of my ideas that eventually became production. I do have one of his 'special' coax connectors and antenna insulators. How great to have!

I do and will miss him.

To say goodbye to Frank is like saying goodbye to the best friend you had all thru gradeschool. Yeah---we got caught smokin' in the boys room a few times and racing Dad's car a few times. But even better than that---Frank was there for everyone and anyone. We would have guys check into the lounge to say hello for the first time ...and mention that their desk mic was broken. Frank would say" give me your address" and the next day a desk mic was on its way to a complete stranger. Frank never expected anything in return. Sometimes he got something as a surprise in the mail but more often than not the favor was never returned.I sure will miss
him...as will all the guys who ever came across Frank on or off the air. A class act.
73 Frankie -wankie...Kandy misses you too !!!

Whenever you entered the "Lounge" on 3805,
if Frank was there, you knew you were in
for a fun-filled late-night QSO with a
great friend. He had a subtle, clever
sense of humor, always upbeat, and had a
genuine heart of gold. Not your typical
techie ham, thanks to him, I'll forever
think of the notch-filter as the
"takie-outie button." I sure miss him.
