Friend : Tim Herriott (K3VUD)

I am sorry to report the passing of my Elmer, Tim Herriott, K3VUD. Tim helped me get started in ham radio over 30 years ago. At that time, I had found a book in the local library called "So You Want To Be A Ham". Next stop was Barno Radio, a local radio store. My best friend and I (now KA2GSE) were looking for info on a Lafayette receiver. Tim was in the store and offered to help us get started. The help that Tim gave us over the years was instrumental in us getting our ticket. He was always willing to help, from assistance with soldering to alignment of my first receiver kit to helping me install my first dipole antenna. Tim was a great example of how an Elmer can make a real difference for someone getting started in amateur radio. Rest in peace my friend. 73, Tad, K3TD
