It is so difficult think "G3ZQS" and "Silent Key" in the same sentence.
Geo's passing leaves a big hole in the Morse world, but he left us with the
wonderful legacy of FISTS. He created FISTS to keep friendship, good
operating practices and encouragement of newcomers foremost in people's
minds "whilst" they are on the air. I know you join me in re-committing to
this FISTS philosophy and making FISTS even stronger, in remembrance of
Geo's vision.
Geo,
Your FISTS philosophy is an inspiration to many. www.fists.org Pleased to have worked you a couple of times. 73, OM. SK.
FISTS 2153
It is my privilege to have been an early member of FISTS and to have counted Geo and Ivy among my friends. Geo was kind to me in a number of ways including giving me one of his early homebrew paddles which I still have and treasure. I met Geo in person many years ago at a CW Convention in Nottingham.
Keep the FISTS flag flying in the Big Shack in the Sky Geo!
