I first met Phil (via 2m packet) in 1986...He stopped by the TV shop where I worked for an eye-ball, and we exchanged shareware disks, which you can imagine was quite a new phenonmenon at that time...Phil put in a tremendous effort for Army MARS during the Gulf war, and was a true mentoring presence for the entire Catskill region, New York State, and Ham Radio in general...
