A very hip and fun individual (for his age at the time) to talk to. I first met Paul on a personal level when I was 23. I had just upgraded to extra class, and started hanging out on 10 meters with a bunch of locals, Paul being one of them. Paul had a strange resemblance to Bob Prince, the old and long time play-by-play announcer for the Pittsburgh Pirates. So it was not surprising that we sometimes would call him "the Gunner." Paul was a musician, with expertise with the clarinet and saxophone. So his code prowess was strong, even though he hardly ever used it on the air. Some of his expressions, euphemisms and the stories old Paul would tell from his ham radio, cb radio, and life experiences were hilarious. I am sure anyone listening to our many conversations on 10 meters back truly had raised their eyebrows! I can't recall any of those old stories, but he was always entertaining. We miss you, you old Mustache Pete! HPE CU in Ham Radio Heaven one day!
