We will all miss the voice of Raleigh, North Carolina. Billy Edwards, K4BWC, passed much too early. His laughter and helping hands will always be remembered by his friends over the air waves. Billy was always the first to help a fellow ham with a radio project or a personal emergency need. Billy is now with our Heavenly Father, where the streets are paved with gold and big antennas and high power prevail. We all love and miss you my friend. Dennis W4USR
He was the most kind, helpful and always ready to answer my questions ham I ever met. The ham community has lost a great guy. Rest in peace my friend.

I knew Bill for about 20 years or a little more. I found him to be decent and straight forward. I last saw him about 12 or 15 months ago when I visited him at Omega Electronics. He seemed to be in good spirits
and health. I'm surprised and saddened to hear that Bill passed away so suddenly. No doubt his wife's illness and death took their toll. 73 Bill de Roy WA4DOU
Bill was always a delight to speak with! I often listened to him and Don, N8DDK and others chatting away on '73. They were so entertaining, I sure will miss hearing him....
I met Bill in 1990 and he quickly became a close friend. He never refused to do a favor for a buddy. I loved to confound him with my jury rigged amps which I built from scraps, which was totally the opposite of what he did for his customers. He got a large charge out of my alligator clip bandswitch, which never failed to cause a big laugh. Once he brought a 3-1000 tube to my house to test in my junkbox amp, when we turned on the HV, it took off and blew up everything in the lineup, which he found highly entertaining. I will really miss this wonderful guy, as will many hams. Best 73's to you , Billy
Billy has been a great friend for close to 30 years, and I've never known a more honest ham who was so willing to help. The amateur community has lost a good man. Rest in peace, Billy
Bill was a wonderful person and will be missed.
He called me the day before he passed away and
I was shocked to hear that he lost his wife
less than 2 weeks before. We were there on Thanksgiving. He was always cheerful and willing to help anyway he could. 73's to a good friend.
Bill Edwards took over as Service Manager of the Amp Supply Co. in Raleigh, after I left. He was a "Wizard", when it came to home brewing an amplifier ! He has helped me many times, in the years past, and will be sorrowfully missed. He had a great sense of humor. RIP Bill.
I best remember Bill for his love and craving of Naval History. It was my pleasure providing many books and tapes on this subject.
You are missed Bill
