Norm Passed away at his home in Kelso WA. on June 3rd 2008. He will was a great weak signal buff and had a commercial antenna business making loop antennas that were/are very successful. I met Norm in 1997 when I moved from the Midwest to Carson City Nevada. If I could say I ever had a elmer it was him. I did learn allot about antennas and how not to electrocute yourself working on high power amplifiers! I will always remember him not just as a ham operator but as a true friend.
I didn't know Norm personally, but spoke with him quite a few times on the phone in reference to his 6M & 2M loops I purchased from him. He was always a gentleman and very helpful whenever I contacted him.
I met Norm in Carson City in the late 90's when I went to his place to get a 6 meter halo. Great guy to talk with and not above giving you a beer and all the information you could handle!! Saw him again at Ft. Tuthill Hamfest the last year they held it there. Still using the halo and the Unique wire tuner I got from him. RIP Norm.
