My long time friend, teacher, doctor, and "OM" Ed Schneider passed on this week. He came to ham radio late in life, I think because he saw how much fun his son N6MR and I were having. Although he had not been active for the last decade, he always spoke fondly and enthusiastically about his active ham radio years.
Although he would always say that he learned a great deal from me about technology as we played with radios and antennas, I always came away feeling that I was the one who actually did the learning. His knowledge of medicine, literature, history, and his breadth of experience always left me wanting more. I am a richer person for having the priviledge of knowing Ed for so many years. There is a void in my life that will be very difficult to fill. 73 my friend, and dit-dit.
