Friend : Edward B. Brown (W0EPV)

There are some ham folks and experiences that leave there mark on you for life. Edward B. Brown was one of them.
I met Ed when I was 15 years old when I was out mowing lawns for summer work.
He lived two blocks away. He was a true engineer. Designing and building most of his station. He was my mentor and worked with me on the code and theory.
He helped me with my first transmitter.
It was a single tube (1625) 15 watts.
He used to kid me that he knew when I was on the air because of the key clicks.
When I applied for my first job after tech college, he put in a good word for me to the station manager.
He was one of the first to get a patents on the squeeze keyer. And to build a working computer on a bread board.
He was always working on a new ham invention. Always welcomed me over when I was home to visit.
Now days I miss visiting Ed and working him on the air.
Prays and Blessings to the family.

Ed was a marvel, he was an excellent Morse
operator and one of his designs was for an
excellent "QSK Box". He sent me the details
of the design, which I have uploaded to the
Internet Archive. There is an internal and
external design.
