I met Bob when I was a Novice WN6TPB in Southern Cal. Bob was a W3 then and loved CW. He was once employed by the CIA in Turkey in the early 50's. He had a simple station but treated it like it was gold. During the times we spent together we differed on views about Vietnam but enjoyed each other's company. He suffered from a back injury that kept him from working fully and that bothered him. I found he had died when I looked him up after my tenure in Alaska and we lost contact. A sad loss. He was a good friend and one of the main reasons I am still a ham. Enjoy the new radio room Bob.
