Friend : Phil Butler (K3MBM)

I am sorry to report the passing, of Phil Butler,K3MBM,my father and elmer.I remember as a child my dad building his own equipment, operating on 2 and 6 meter AM.He eventually fell in love with the ICOM 706 radios and operated through a homebrew 2 meter amplifier. He had weekly chats with Charlie,KB2ZSP,who was also a dear friend to him. After years of promising my dad I was going to get my license,I did so last year and talked to him on 2 meters SSB every week.He was a school teacher and an expert wood craftsman also.I will miss you Dad,73's forever,Love Brad KBTNZ

Friend : Phil (K3MBM)

I was told my Phil's son that he had passed.. I remember talking and listening to the big 144 mhz signal from Phil's QTH.. He really enjoyed rag chewing with some of his close friends.. A truely educated teacher and well spoken representative of ham radio. Phil I can hear your voice now.
God Bless
