Jack and I journeyed to Chicago in 1977 to test for our licenses. I came home with my Advanced ticket he came with a General ticket. To my way of thinking there was no one who knew more about the inside of a radio than Jack. I felt bad about that. He went a few months later and passed the Advanced Test. A good friend for many years. Amateur Radio kept us together wherever I went and finally back to Indiana to be near when he became a silent key. It was always good to hear his voice on the Starke 2 meter net. A warm feeling about friends and amateur radio.
