I don't quite remember when it was though it was in about 1982 or there abouts. I'll have to verify that with his xyl. Larry worked for GTE Hawaiian Tel and was a good friend to most of us. He was always smiling and did his best to help us hams when we went wanting for that piece of ham gear we wanted. He loved his Collins gear and always helped me with our repeater atop Mauna Kapu on the island of Oahu. Larry also loved flying radio control airplanes but most of all he loved to go bowling. It was this favorite sport that he loved and actually spent his last moments at the bowling alley. Love and Aloha Larry we'll remember you always my friend.
Update: Larry left us on May 18, 1981.
