On December 20, 2011 John (Jack) Howard Scheiderer (W5JHS) was welcomed home where he now joins his beloved wife Judy. He was a paratrooper in the Army, 82nd Airborne. He was retired from Southern Pacific Railroad where he worked as a conductor, brakeman and engineer. John was as an amateur radio operator (ham) and spent countless hours in his shop working on and using CB and ham radios. He also volunteered in the radio room at the V.A. John spent his last years with family and friends, loved to go to the casino and enjoyed watching his granddaughter Amber play volleyball. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Helen Scheiderer, Sisters Jane Caraway and Grace Puerling. He is survived by Daughter, Debbie Massey and her husband Randy, Daughter, Kay Lynn Scheiderer (Mark Compton) Son, Todd Scheiderer, Grandchildren, Stacey Massey, Amber Massey, and Leilla Scheiderer and her husband Chris Porras, Great Grandchildren Isaiah and Aria Porras, Brother-in-law Allan Brunner and several Nieces and Nephews. Friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mr. Scheiderer on Friday, December 23, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery immediately following the service.
