Wonderful, wonderful man, who was on the convoys in the North Atlantic in WW2, as well as all over the Pacific as we went after Japan. He was aboard a large cargo ship that was taking K-rations to Okinawa for the invasion of Japan. He was a quality control expert for Douglas Aircraft. Bill was as gentle as the day is long. We met about 7 years ago, and he has been a surrogate Father to me. He was a man's man and I will miss him dearly.
Definitely an "old school" gentleman - he exemplified "The Amateur's Code" originally written in 1928 by Paul M. Segal, W9EEA.
73 OM es sri to lose you....

BTW Richard give me a LL if you see this - I don't think I have your current phone #.
Bill and I shared many conversations including an interest in Ten Tec gear. Sometimes after a net check in, he would call me long distance and we would have good long visits. I'm sad to see he's SK. He was a very nice man. Todd - KT0DD
