Friend : JIM WELCH (KD5JIM)

James Lawrence Welch, 59-year-old White Oak resident, went to meet his Jesus on January 30, 2012.
James was born on July 28, 1952 to Su Zanna Elrod Welch and Lawrence James Welch at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernadino, Calif.
James was a kind, patient, loving man, not just to his family, but to all. There was nothing he couldn’t do.
Jimmy retired from GRDA with 30 years of service. He was administrator of Data processing for 26 years. He then went through CLEET at 55 years-old, and was administrator of Homeland Security when he retired.
He enjoyed being a HAM radio operator and a member of the N.O.R.A Club. As a HAM operator, he also was a storm spotter for the NWS.
Jimmy attended church at Cowboy Junction and loved his church family.
He is now having the adventure of his life and his family are sure the welcome home party is still in progress.
Awaiting their adventure are: his wife, Mary Welch of the home; mother, Su Zanna Welch of Vinita; sons, Christopher James Welch of Owasso, Okla., Bryan Thomas Welch of Bartlesville, and John Charles Welch and wife Ivy of Tulsa; six grandchildren; brother Stephen and Diane Welch of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Maria and Gary Keesling of Grove and Teresa and Rick Erickson of Tulsa; his best buddies Tom and Cherry Kalbrier of Nowata and Tommy Parker, his brother at GRDA.
We were tremendously blessed to have Jimmy in our lives.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at Burckhalter Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Cowboy Junction Church and School. Contributions may be mailed to: Cowboy Junction, 27502 S. 4380 Road, Vinita, OK 74301.
Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Temple on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at 2 p.m., with Pastor Wade Markham officiating.
Brother Tommy Parker will offer the Eulogy.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher James Welch, Bryan Thomas Welch, John Charles Welch, Stephen Tate, Stephen Welch and Gary Keesling.
