Bill and I worked a weekly CW schedule on 3.543 Mhz(3.563 alternate if QRL) for 3 years and 3 months until his untimely death due to pancreatic cancer.
Bill had contacted me because he
saw my name on the SKCC Elmer List and we became great friends over all the QSOs we had.
One month after Bill's passing on I was
contacted via email by W4CJV Wayne to tell
me he had some items that Bill had
requested he send to me in the event of
his death. Bill willed to me a single
lever Vibroplex Chrome Deluxe Vibrokeyer,
a Hendricks PFR-3A QRP 3 band transceiver
(20, 30, & 40 meter bands) he had built
from a kit with a attached W5JH Baby Black
Widow CW iambic key, and a 50 ohm SMT
dummy load. The PFR-3A also has a built in
manual antenna tuner hence the A in the
model number. I will treasure these for as
long as I live!
