Bob was one of the best. Licensed for 58 or so years, he was a great CW OP. He held the calls N3KW, W8LAT, W3ITF and a few I don't remember. I will miss Bob on 40CW as I'm sure many others will also. He was a fine gentleman.
Rest In Peace Brother
Don is right, 40CW is where I met Bob in the 70's. We had a regular sked and enjoyed many Saturday mornings chewing the QRQ fat and taking breaks for more cava. Bob was a superb high speed CW man and earned the rare opportunity to become a shipboard radio officer in between other career positions involving electronic technologies. Bob was one of the good guys. Rest in Peace Brother.
I used to chat with Bob and Don over the years in the morning occasionally on 40 CW. I will miss hearing Don! A fine CW operator and gentleman.
