Jerry was one of the most enthusiastic Ham's I have ever met! I worked with Jerry when he first got his Ham ticket, and I guess it was a lot of his enthusiasm that led to me getting into Amateur Radio. We have all suffered a great loss at Jerry's passing, and my sympathies go out to his Wife, Sandy and his daughters and Grandchildren.
It seems that only yesterday we were on CB, he the Swampfox, weaving stories into the night. Later, in Ham radio, when I was at my lowest, it was he who had the insight and compassion to suggest that I look beyond my artificially imposed horizons to find a new beginning and continue.
Now I find he is gone. While i'm sorry he is gone, I am glad for the friendship we shared. Thanks and 73 my friend.
