I remember Chris when he first started building and using the ham radio at home. We used to get so mad at him for disturbing the T.V. and one time it came thru the oven door when it was open. Many of his friends would go to the desert and set up their equipment and stay up with the stars. He is always missed.
Ted was my first ever contact as a licensed ham in Colorado Springs. He was a gentle man and a pleasure to know. His wife, Mary Ann, was also a pleasure to know. It was about a year after their passing before I found out. I was shocked and saddened. "N0NKG - Never Kiss Gorillas!"
Ted was one of the first hams to welcome me to
Colorado Springs when we moved there in the early
nineties. His gentle, warm demeanor on the air was
refreshing. While we never met in person, I counted him
a friend on the air and was saddened to hear of his
passing. "Never Kiss Gorillas" -- 73...SK
