Fred Fraser Jr., KB1CDJ
of Moultonborough, New Hampshire, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was 79 years old. He is survived by his son Fred Fraser III, residing in Maine.
Fred was born on February 11, 1935 in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
Freddy, as he was known to his friends served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1955.
He was well known throughout the Lakes Region for his quick wit and friendly nature. He was the epitome of a welcome wagon to all new hams. He made sure you felt comfortable and knew everyone as if they were old friends.
Despite losing a leg in a motorcycle accident many years ago, he continued to ride a motorcycle well into his 70’s. It never deterred him from doing what he loved.
He meant a lot to many people, myself and my wife included and will always keep him in our hearts.
Services will be held at the Purdy Memorial Chapel located at 2 Concord Road, Lee, New Hampshire on Wednesday,
October 29, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.
Rest in Peace “old man.”
Respectfully Submitted,
Bob Carollo NY1H
