Thomas was an avid Ham operator (KC8QGJ). He
was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Chardon,
a member of Laborer’s Local 860, of 1721
Ragchew and of the 160 Club of Ham Operators.
He was an avid train collector who also
enjoyed fishing for walleye and perch and
camping.
We will miss Tom on the air and at the annual "K2P" Kring Point State Park ham gathering. Thanks Tom for starting this tradition. I hope we can keep it going for a long time.
Tom for a number of years was the control station for the 1721 net on 1.871 Mhz. He was very welcoming and introduced me to a friendly group of hams.
He organized a social get together at the KOA campground during Dayton and kindly set up a pup tent for me so I stay overnight.
