Friend : Gordon S. Marshall (W6RR)

Gordon was an avid supporter of the USC Amateur
Radio Club W6YV, in addition to his major
philantropist activities. In the 2000th he often
operated on 20m sideband from Hansville WA
location.

I remember Gordon as a contest competitor in the 1960's and 1970's. He usually had the biggest signal on the band and the highest West Coast score if not the highest USA score.

His operations from Southern California and Washington state were always the highest caliber. I am mostly retired from contesting myself but certainly miss operators such as W6RR.
