Marty Simmonds worked for 42 years in the
electrical industry for J.C.P. & L., I & M, and
P.S.E. & G., retiring in 1987.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy
serving as electricians mate third class and
was part of the Seabees.
Mr. Simmonds graduated from La Salle
University with a degree in law.
He was a member of the Butler United
Methodist Church and a former member of
the New Hope Christian Center in Waterloo.
He was a Ham Radio operator with the call
letters of KK4PI and a Life Member of ARRL
and the Northeastern Indiana ARC and was
also a member of the Civil Air Patrol, was a
Past Exulted Ruler of the Elks Lodge 2151 in
New Jersey, 65-year member of the Masonic
Lodge in New Jersey, Florida, and Indiana;
was Past President of the Lions Club and
was Past President of the American Right of
Way Association. He especially enjoyed all
his friends on the Buzzard's Roost Net.
