I lost a wonderful friend of 40 years the other day,
Jeremy "Jerry" Muller, K0TV, formerly WA1TZV.
Jerry was a great amateur radio, operator,
probably best known for his contesting skills. His
station in Hudson NH was truly awesome. Jerry's
tower case about fifteen years ago was landmark
in NH. Jerry held the position of Early Entry
Gatekeeper at NEAR-Fest in Deerfield NH since
the first one in 2007. No one without the correct
pass got past Jerry. We will remember his always
and miss him terribly.
Jerry, You’re in a better place with no pain and
suffering, in ham radio heaven where all the DX is
rare, every station is a multiplier, with no QRM
and all QSOs are 40dB over S9. It was a privilege
and honor to know you all these years and call
you my friend. May you rest in peace.
I remember K0TV as a ham who entered the CQ 160 Contests each year. His log was always a easy to check and very accurate.
I never met him in person but we always miss hams like K0TV.
RIP Jerry

I've known Jerry since the 70's when we both attended the Hamfest at the Old Lantern in Charlotte, VT. Jerry would show up in his VW Microbus and would erect all sorts of weird yagis to work the Persieds Meteor showers in August - and this was in the days before WSJT!
Over the years, Jerry was that BIG SIG on 160M from NH - and he had strong opinions on how to put up great antennas. I recently worked with Jerry at WRTC when we put together one of the stations for testing in 2012.
I last saw Jerry at Nearfest in the Fall of 2014 when he told me of his condition.
73 Jerry and best DX!
