Friend : John Garman (WN9J)

John Garman, Professor of Law at Faulkner University, recently lost his noble and resilient fight with lung and brain cancer during which he never lost his joyful spirit. Professor Garman is survived by his wife Rhonda.

Prior to joining the Faulkner faculty in 2000, John practiced law in Nashville, Tennessee. He also served as an adjunct faculty member at Lipscomb University in Nashville while in private practice. Before entering law practice he received his JD from Vanderbilt and an LL.M. in European Comparative Law from the Université de Droit, d’Economie et des Sciences d’Aix-Marseille in Aix-en-Provance, France.

John enjoyed playing the upright bass with the Goat Hill String Band and was a tireless promoter of Pattypalooza, an annual music festival in Lascassas, TN.

John was a long-standing member of the Montgomery (AL) Amateur Radio Club and a former member of the Quarter Century Wireless Association. John's speedy fist and smiling face will be sorely missed at Field Day.
